Chester “Chet” Nainys, 82, of Galena, IL, passed away on December 6, 2021. A private family ceremony will be held at a later date. Cremation rites will be accorded. The Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena is assisting the family. Chet always had a joke for anyone who would listen and was passionate about all sports, especially the Chicago Bears, Cubs, and Blackhawks. He is survived by his wife Joyce of Galena; his daughter, Michelle (Scott) Bunyer of Pewaukee, WI; and his grandchildren, Allison and Joshua. He was preceded in death by his son Mike Nainys and his parents Bruno and Elena Nainys. Memorial donations in celebration of his life may be made to Hospice of Dubuque.
