Bonnie J. Pyrczak, 82, of Galena, IL, and formerly Franklin Park, IL passed away Monday, September 2, 2024, at Midwest Medical Center, Galena. She was born December 17, 1941, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Andrew and Ann (Pawula) Podraza. Bonnie was united in marriage to Rudolph Pyrczak on October 20, 1962, and he preceded her in death on September 24, 2013. Bonnie was a homemaker and worked at Lutz Jewelers. She enjoyed reading and cooking. Bonnie loved spending time with family and friends. Religion was vital to her. She is survived by a daughter, Janice (Walter) Johnson, and three grandchildren, Jessica and Emily Pyrczak, and Wesley Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband, her son, Mark, her granddaughter, Samantha, and her daughter-in-law, Lucy. The family wishes to thank Galena Territory Security and Midwest Medical Center, Galena, for their care and compassion during this difficult time. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 11:30 AM to 2 PM at Chandlers, 401 North Roselle Road, Schaumburg, IL. A committal service will be held graveside in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery, Scales Mound, IL, on Friday, October 18, 2024, at 11 AM. The Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena is assisting the family. Instead of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson Foundation, the American Heart Association, or the SUDC Foundation in memory of Bonnie.
