William A. Davis, 68 of Galena, IL and formerly of Epworth, IA passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at home. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021, from 2 to 5 PM at his home. The family requests everyone attending to please wear a mask. Cremation rites have been accorded. The Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena is assisting the family. Bill worked for the city of Dubuque for over thirty years. He enjoyed working on cars, competitive shooting, construction, socializing, scuba diving, flying, and doing projects around the house. Bill was the former President of IPCL. He is survived by his wife, Christine Davis, three children, Cat (Chad) Walker, Thomas, and James Davis, two grandchildren, Lorelei, and Eddie Walker, one sister, Kim (Lee) Gurley, and two brothers John (Gretchen) and Jeff Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill (Peggy) Davis, and a sister, Taci. The family would like to thank Hospice of Dubuque, Margo, and Prairie Ridge. They would also like to thank family and friends, for helping them through this difficult time.
