Virginia “Ginny” K. (Bush) Carroll, 74, of Galena, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Galena-Stauss Nursing Home.  Memorial Service will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Furlong Funeral Chapel in Galena.  Visitation will be 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Furlong Funeral Chapel in Galena.  Burial will be at Prospect Hill Cemetery rural Galena.

Ginny was born April 15, 1947 in Morrison, Illinois, the daughter of Donald E. and Kathryn Bush.  She graduated from Morrison High School in 1965.  Ginny married Terry Carroll on June 2, 1967.  Ginny enjoyed spending time with her family, and took annual trips to Rock Cut State Park and the Wisconsin Dells with her children and grandchildren. She also got together with her cousins, catching up routinely. Family time was often spent in a kitchen, cooking and baking with and for them. Her cookies, baked goods, and appetizers were also well known at her son’s bed and breakfast, Jail Hill Inn in Galena.  Ginny owned and operated C & C Embroidery for many years until retiring in 2017.  Ginny was a longtime member of the Galena United Methodist Church.  She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband, Terry; her children, Christy (Terry) Charles, Karla Keilman, and Matthew Carroll; grandchildren, Greta Keilman, Olivia Charles, Aubrey Charles, and Marian Keilman; sisters in-law, Sally Carroll, Carolyn (Bush) McCue, and Ann Bush.

Ginny was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Larry D. Bush and Steven Bush; and a brother in-law, David Carroll.

Memorial may be directed to Hospice of Dubuque or the United Methodist Church of Galena in Virginia’s memory.
