Vicki Ann Ricke, 78 of East Dubuque, IL passed away Friday, August 27, 2021, at her home. Funeral service will be 1 PM, Friday, September 3, 2021, at the Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena, where friends may call after 11:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Galena. She was born February 6, 1943, in Hazel Green, WI the daughter of Joseph and Sybella (Smith) Miller. Vicki was united in marriage to Gerald Ricke on November 16, 1963, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Galena. She graduated from Galena High School with the class of 1961. Vicki worked for Hruska photography until 1970. She then started her own craft business Calico Rainbow doing craft shows throughout the tri-state area. Vicki enjoyed traveling, bowling, crocheting, playing cards, and getting together with friends for lunch. She is survived by her husband Gerald, a son, Terry (Janice) Ricke, granddaughter, Natalie Ricke, her sister Marlene (Robert) Wallenhorst, her niece and goddaughter, Michelle Wallenhorst. She was preceded in death, by her parents, and her in-laws, Joseph and Theresa Ricke. The family would wish to extend a special thank you to Dr.’s Holm and Loetscher, the staff of Hospice of Dubuque, Chris, Jessica, Peggy, Barb, and Paul, and to Jake Belken for the wonderful care shown to Vicki.
