Rosemary “Rosie” Kollman, 87 years old of Galena, IL died August 22, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque. Friends may call from 4 to 7 pm on Thursday August 27, 2015 at the Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena where a parish rosary will be held at 4 pm. The Catholic Daughters of America service will follow the rosary. Funeral mass will be Friday at 10:30 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Galena and burial will be in the church cemetery. She was born February 12, 1928 in Galena the daughter of George and Mathilda (Stockel) Anger. She was united in marriage to John Kollman on November 26, 1959 and he preceded her in death on March 26, 2007. Rosie operated Broadway grocery with her sister Rita and worked at Luella’s for several years until her retirement. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Altar & Rosary Society and the Catholic Daughters of America. Rosie was devout in her catholic faith. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Jerry) Streinz of Dubuque, a grandson Justin Streinz of Milwaukee, WI and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers, Oscar, Reverend Cletus, Clarence and Ambrose, three sisters Helen Foley, Marcella Wienen and Rita Anger, two sisters in-law, Betty and Ruth Anger and two brothers in-law, Robert Foley and Francis Wienen and a nephew Terrance Anger.
