Mildred “Millie” C. Holland 98, of Hazel Green, WI passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021. The funeral service will be 11 AM, Saturday, October 9, 2021, at the Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena where friends may call after 9 AM until the time of the service. Burial will be in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery, Hazel Green. She was born August 12, 1923, in Galena the daughter of John and Barbara (Heim) Hilby. Mildred was united in marriage to Charles “Flicker” Holland on October 13, 1941, and together they had five children. He preceded her in death on August 21, 1993. Mildred enjoyed playing cards and gardening. She is survived by her daughter, Darlene (Jeff) Bader of Scales Mound, IL, daughter-in-law, Audrey Holland of La Crosse, WI, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, and one sister-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sons, Harvey, Richard, and Howard, a daughter, Joyce in infancy, two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. The family of Mildred would like to thank Hospice of Dubuque and all her wonderful caretakers for their care and compassion.
