Mary Viola Levins

Marian Viola Levins, age 88 of Naperville and formerly of Palatine, IL, passed away on May 25, 2025.  A funeral mass will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Galena, IL, where friends may gather after 10 AM until the time of mass. Burial of the cremated remains will be in the church cemetery. The Furlong Funeral Chapel in Galena is assisting the family. Beloved wife of the late James Levins; loving mother of Sherri (Andy) Huguenard, Linda (Larry) Skisak, Jami Morgan, Patti Hadwen and Michael (Kathy) Levins; cherished daughter of the late Oscar and Viola Korte; proud grandmother of Katie (John) Wozniak, Robert (Nicole) Arrigo, the late Thomas Arrigo, Daniel (Anais) Arrigo, Elizabeth Skisak, Maura Skisak, Kiley Morgan, K.C. Morgan, the late Eva Hadwen, Cassandra (Noel) Nieves, Jack Levins, James Levins and Abby Levins; adored great-grandmother of Naomi, Natasha and Nora Wozniak and Max and Leo Arrigo; fond sister of Elizabeth (Pete) Korte, Judy Winter, James Korte, Charles Korte and the late Carolyn Conness, Rosalie Rader, Lois Miller and Ruth Hasken; aunt of many nieces and nephews. Marian grew up on a farm in Galena, IL, where she had many happy memories with her six sisters and two brothers. She enjoyed politics and volunteered as an election judge. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, and being a homemaker. After her children were raised, Marian enjoyed working for many years as an administrative assistant at High School District 211 in Palatine, Illinois.
