Mary T. Horvath, 78 of Galena, IL passed away Friday, May 3, 2019, at Mercy One, Dubuque, IA. A funeral mass will be 11 AM, Thursday, May 9, 2019, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Galena and where friends may gather after 9:30 AM at the church until time of mass. Burial will be at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded. The Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena is assisting the family. She was born October 2, 1940, in Ireland the daughter of Frank and Anne (Duffy) Kerrigan. Mary married Julius Horvath in Chicago, IL on June 3, 1962, at St. Stephan, King of Hungary Church. She is survived by her husband, Julius, a daughter, Sheila (Mike) Konefes, two sons, Frank (Paris) and Kevin (Erika) Horvath, seven grandchildren, Shannon, Molly, and Dylan Konefes, Justin, Katie, Sean and Kyle Horvath, sister, Ellen Kerrigan, four brothers, Francis (Kathleen) Kerrigan, Tom (Sheila) Kerrigan, Bill Kerrigan and John (Marie) Bugless and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Anne and a brother, Paddy.
