Mary Jane Pfiffner Breitbach of Eureka, MO and formerly of Galena and Dubuque died on April 1, 2016 at the age 88. Funeral mass will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, April 9, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Galena, IL. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 PM, Friday, April 8, 2016 at the Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena where the rosary will be recited at 4 PM. She was born in Guttenburg, IA to Clara and Alfred Pfiffner the youngest of nine. She was the beloved wife of sixty-two years of Vern J. Breitbach and he preceded her in death on October 9, 2009. Dear mother of Roger Breitbach, a daughter Ann (Karl) Lederman; a son in law Doug (Mary) Schniepp, five grandchildren, Adam (Tina) Breitbach, Heather Breitbach, Dustin (Anne) Schniepp, Ryan & Kurt Lederman, five great-grandchildren, Allison, Tyler, Josie and Owen Breitbach, Greyson Jude Schniepp and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter, Judy, three children in infancy, Ronald, Jane and Dale, a grandson, Landon Breitbach, her siblings, George, Herman, Arnold, Monica, Irvin, Aloysius, Bertha and Delores.
