Marjorie M. Green, 96, of Rockford, IL and formerly Shullsburg, WI passed away Monday, April 4, 2022, at Cherry Vale Place, Rockford. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Centenary United Methodist Church, Shullsburg where friends may call after 10:30 AM until the time of service. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Shullsburg. The Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena, IL is assisting the family. She was born October 16, 1925, in Shullsburg the daughter of William and Florence (Bird) Mittelsteadt. Marjorie was united in marriage to Charles E. Green on December 1, 1945, in Shullsburg and he preceded her in death on June 14, 1983. She worked several jobs throughout her life but first and foremost was a wonderful wife and mother. Marjorie enjoyed dancing and playing cards. She is survived by her daughter, Pam (Denny) Shadel, her grandchildren, Terry (Julie) Shadel, Denny jr. (Lisa) Shadel, Chris (Carolyn) Shadel, Scott (Debbie) Shadel, ten great-grandchildren, and her great-great-grandchildren, siblings, Vernie (Betty) Mittelsteadt, Albert (Janet) Mittelsteadt , Robert Mittelsteadt, and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death in by her parents, her husband, siblings, Geraldine, Buck, Chuckie, Mary, Melvin, Charlotte, and Gordon.
