Marguerite “Maggie” Auman, 91 of Galena, IL passed away Saturday July 18, 2015 at Manor Care, Dubuque, IA. Funeral mass will be 10:30 AM, Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Galena and where friends may call after 9:30 AM until time of service. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena is in charge of arrangements. She was born November 17, 1923 in Galena, IL the daughter of William and Anna (Kohlbauer) Smith. Maggie attended St. Mary’s and Galena schools. She was united in marriage to Marvin “Boze” Auman on July 6, 1944 and he preceded her in death. Together Maggie and Boze ran the local pool hall for many years and cherished the many relationships they had made throughout the years. Maggie was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She is survived by a special cousin, Marlene (Robert) Wallenhorst, their daughter Michelle Wallenhorst, her adopted grandsons, Kameron, Jacob and Brody, nieces, nephews and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son Leo on August 30, 2011 and a special aunt, Sybella Miller.
