Marguerita J. Sullivan, 88 of Mount Carroll, IL and formerly Galena passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020, at Allure of Mount Carroll. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions a private family service will be held Friday, October 30, 2020, at the Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena. Burial will be in Nativity BVM Cemetery, Menominee, IL. She was born January 22, 1932, in Laramie, WY the daughter of Mike and Ida (Ward) Mullen. Marguerita graduated from Galena High School. She was united in marriage to Merlyn Sullivan on August 22, 1950, and he preceded her in death on January 8, 2004. Marguerita was employed at Parkview Place, Platteville, WI for five years and was a homemaker. She loved cooking, thrift shopping, playing the piano and cards especially Rummy. Marguerita was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs. She is survived by her four children, Cheryl (Bob) Gile of Colorado Springs, CO, Dale Sullivan of Holden, MI, Lorrie Evans of Milledgeville, IL, Ronnie Sullivan of Mattoon, IL, fourteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and her cat, “Molly”. She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Karla Sullivan-Rombaugh, grandson, Jeffrey Thiltgen, and granddaughter, Mary Sullivan.
