Linda Ann Wickler, 50 of Galena, IL passed away Monday, September 19, 2016 at OSF St. Anthony Hospital, Rockford after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Friends may call from 5 to 7 PM on Friday, September 23, 2016 at the Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Galena. She was born April 28, 1966 in Cuba City, WI the daughter of James Martin and Jane Ann (Montgomery) Wickler. Linda graduated from Galena High School the class of 1984. She spent her entire life in Galena. Linda worked for the DeSoto Hotel for twenty years serving as their food and beverage manager. She was a loving and devoted grandmother to her two grandsons, Hayden and Hudson. She is survived by her daughter, Ashley (Jesse Sites) Wickler of Galena, two grandsons, Hayden and Hudson, her mother, Jane Ann Wickler of Galena, two sisters, Cindy and Tracy (Joe Cook) Wickler both of Galena and a nephew, Alex Cook of Galena. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Glen and Luella Montgomery, her father, and a brother and sister in infancy, Randy and Christine, a nephew, Glen Cook.
