Kenneth Lee Molitor, 64, of Verona, WI and formerly of Galena, IL passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2016. Funeral service will be held at 4 PM, Sunday, October 23, 2016 at the Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena where friends may call after 2 PM until time of service. Graveside service will be held at 11 AM, Monday, October 24, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Galena. Military honors will be accorded graveside by Galena VFW Post #2665 and American Legion Post #193. He was born on January 10, 1952 in Dubuque Iowa, son of George and Donna Molitor. Ken spent most of his career in law enforcement serving as a Military Police Officer in the Army and a Police Officer and Chief in Galena. He enjoyed playing softball, bowling, antiquing, and cheering on the Chicago Bears. Ken was a loyal son and brother, who always did whatever he could to help and be there for those he loved. He will be remembered as a loving, hard-working and protective father.  He was a proud grandpa.  His grandchildren brought him great joy and happiness. Those left to honor his memory include his two daughters, Amber (Jason) Kwiatkowski and Brooke (Dylan) Strube; four grandchildren, Karsen, Audrey, Taylor and Simone; four brothers, Jerry (Sandie), Mike (Sheila), Tim (Vicky), and Tony (Peggy); many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Donald and sister Donna Jeanne. Ken’s family extends a special thank you to the staff at Badger Prairie Health Care Center for their years of support and compassion.
