Josephine “Fina” Peters, 42 of Galena, IL died on August 22, 2016 after a sudden illness. Funeral service will be 1 PM, Monday, August, 29, 2016 at the Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena and where friends may gather after 11 AM until time of service. Burial will be at a later date. Cremation rites will follow the service. Fina was born January 28, 1974 in El Paso, TX the daughter of Jose and Rosemary (Kempen) Espinoza. She met her husband of twenty years Jim Peters in August of 1994 and they were married on May 13, 1996. Josephine loved her husband, children, cats and dogs. She was a very shy person who loved living in the country. Fina’s favorite past-time was playing with her children, singing karaoke at home and her surveillance cameras. She will be more than just missed by her family. She is survived by her husband, Jim, five children, Jake, James Jr., Ashley, River and April, step-son, Mike Peters, step-daughter, Sam Peters, four grandchildren, Ali, Shelli, Braydon and Emma Peters, her father, Joe Espinoza, her mother, Rosemary Cavanaugh, three sisters, Nancy Espinoza, Theresa Cavanaugh and Lolita Montano, three brothers, Jose Espinoza Jr., Chris Cavanaugh and Jose Espinoza III, her father in-law, Charlie Peters and mother in-law, Jeanne Peters. She will be joining in heaven her step-Father and her best friend, Pat McGuire.
