John “Jack” Davis

John “Jack” Davis, 84, of Stockton, IL, and formerly of Galena, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Midwest Medical Center, Galena, after a brief illness. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The Furlong Funeral Chapel in Galena is assisting the family. Jack was born in Galena, the son of John and Louise (Moser) Davis. He was united in marriage to Doris Leifker on July 6, 1968. Jack was a proud member of the Midwest Operating Engineers Local 150 and the UAW. Jack loved steam trains, flea markets, decorating for Christmas, and spending time with family. Jack is survived by his wife Doris, daughters Kathy and Michelle (Todd) Wessels, and his “robins,” grandchildren Max and Lilly.
