Jo Ann Ethel Harwick 77, of Benton, WI passed away Friday, September 1, 2023, at Harmony Nursing Home of Dubuque. In keeping with her wishes a private family service will be held later. The Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena, IL is assisting the family. She was born September 26, 1945, in Galena the daughter of Lyle and Dorothy (DuBord) Bartell. Jo Ann was united in marriage to James Harwick Sr. on February 13, 1965, in Galena, and he preceded her in death on July 12, 2012. She is survived by her three sons, James Jr. (Julie) of Benton, Brian (Abby) of Shullsburg, WI, and Mark (Kay) of Plum City, WI, one daughter, Heidi Lynn of NC, and nine grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Geraldine (Bill) McCauley of Cuba City, WI, and Dorothy (Gary) Curran of Shullsburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Ricky L. Harwick, one grandchild, and her siblings. The family would like to thank Harmony Nursing Home of Dubuque and Jo Ann’s doctors for their care.
