Jennifer, or Jenny as she liked to be called, was a kindhearted soul full of warmth and caring.  After graduating from Galena High School in 1991, Jenny attended Highland Community College and later became a Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of Illinois. For many years of her adult life, Jenny battled many illnesses which she shouldered with courage and fortitude. Even though she was often in pain she always shared a smile and a kind word with people she encountered in her day-to-day life. Jenny enjoyed reading novels, especially mystery stories. Jenny was an avid collector of Pandora charms and bracelets, Tinkerbell figurines, and Jim Shore statuettes. Jenny was a generous gift-giver, who had a good heart and thoughtfulness for others. Early on in her adult life, before her many illnesses, Jenny worked with the elderly as a CNA, a position which she poured her heart into.  Jenny’s love was not limited to family and friends but to her beloved dogs, Roxie Rose, and Martha May. Surviving are her parents, Gaylon and Linda, her brother, Casey (Jennifer Cilino) Folks, a niece, Kayleigh Folks, numerous close friends of special mention, Terry, Janice, and Natalie Ricke, Tom, and Mary Peters, along with other people Jenny held dear to her heart. She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Harold and Dorothy Ley, paternal grandparents, George and Edna Folks, and great aunt and uncle, Vince (Mary) Kirpes.  The family would like to especially thank the Emergency Room staff of Midwest Medical Center, the ICU staff of Mercy One, the ICU staff of UW Madison, and the medical staff of Select Specialty Hospital in Madison.
