Jennifer A. Briscoe

Jennifer A. Torres-Briscoe, 55, of East Dubuque, IL, passed away at home on Thursday, January 30, 2025. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. The Furlong Funeral Chapel in Galena is assisting the family. Jennifer was born on September 10, 1969, in San Diego, CA, to Julieus and Yvonne (Webster) Torres. She attended Monte Vista High School in Spring Valley, CA. She worked at K-Mart in Dubuque for ten years. A devoted caregiver, Jennifer, spent her time caring for her mother until her passing. Despite having limited resources, she was always willing to help anyone in need. Jennifer loved her dog Scrappy and enjoyed visiting the casino. She is survived by her two sons, David Keeton and Cody (Morgan) Dawson; a granddaughter, Emma; a soon-to-be-born grandchild; three brothers, Richard (Andrea) Babcock, Julieus (Colleen) Torres and Oscar Torres; three sisters, Mary Jane (Bobby) Duncan, Julie (Bob) Everson, and Jeanette Taylor; a favorite nephew, Curtis Taylor; as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

    From the first day I meet Jennifer..I loved her!!! She was a good friend!!!! Iwill miss her deeply!! She is home now and at peace….To Cody and David she loved you boys with all her heart and I’m sorry for your loss.
    I am not sure if u are having a celebration of life for her but if you could please let me know I would like to pay my respects to one of my best friends. It is truley a sad day for me
    She will always be in my heart ❤
