Jean Ann Muchow, 98 of Sun Prairie, WI, and formerly Galena, IL passed away on September 9, 2021, at her daughter’s home in Sun Prairie. A graveside service will be held at Noon, Saturday, September 25, 2021, in Greenwood Cemetery, Galena. Cremation rites have been accorded. The Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena is assisting the family. She was born May 18, 1923, in Rawlins Township the daughter of Harry Sr. and Neva (Schuler) Hartwig. She married Charles Muchow on October 30, 1948, and he preceded her in death on July 2, 2000. Jean was a member of the Westminster United Presbyterian Church, VFW Auxiliary, Friends of the Library and Midwest Hospital Auxiliary, and the Galena Golf Club for many years. She retired from the drafting department at the Savanna Army Depot in 1985. Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Diane, her son, Gary (Linda) both of Sun Prairie, two grandchildren, Keith, and Kurt (Jen) Muchow, two great-grandchildren, Reagan and Isaiah, and many extended family and friends.
