James Allen Kosusnik
James Allen Kosusnik, 82 of Galena, IL died Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Midwest Medical Center, Galena from injuries sustained in a farming accident. Friends may call from 6 to 8 PM, Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at the Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena. A committal service will be held graveside at 1 PM, Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Old St. John’s Cemetery, Winfield, IL. He was born February 15, 1935 in Geneva, IL the son of Paul and Eleanore (Kittle) Kosusnik. Jim graduated from West Chicago High School, West Chicago, IL. He served in the United States Army from 1957 until his honorable discharge in 1959. Jim worked for various construction companies driving dump truck and operating heavy machinery. He retired in 1993 and moved to Galena to make his home. Jim was a member of Suburban Teamsters of Northern Illinois Local #673. He is survived by his sister, Nancy Ginden of Galena, sister in-law, Jean Kosusnik of Wheaton, IL, two nephews, Alexander Von Keltz and Steve (Geraldine) Kosusnik, two nieces, Mary Hamilton and Donna (Daniel) Shipyor, many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a step-father, George Fox, two brothers, Robert Kosusnik and George C. Fox, a niece, Claudette Von Keltz.
