Jahn Hallden

Jahn Hallden

Jahn S. Hallden (née Strotheide) 74, of Collinsville, IL, passed away peacefully with her firstborn at her side, on January 12, 2023, at her daughter’s home in Galena. The cause was related to interstitial lung disease. Per her wishes, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. The Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena is assisting the family. She was born and raised in Granite City, IL along with her two siblings, Joy and David.  She spent over forty years in Glen Ellyn, IL where she raised her two daughters. In addition to being a loving mother, Jahn was a flight attendant for United Airlines for over twenty years, combining her passion for travel, adventure, and helping others.  She also loved garden design and water activities. Jahn was known for her liveliness, positive can-do attitude, and spontaneity. Her abundant generosity was a common thread throughout her life, and her love of ice cream was nearly unmatched. She readily made fast friends wherever she went, and always seemed to leave a trail of admirers asking about her.  Jahn is survived by her two daughters, Kerri Hallden, of Chicago, IL, and Trisha (Mark) Wollam, of Galena, niece, and nephews, Eric (Diana) Wofford, Alexandra Strotheide, John Strotheide, a sister, Joy Wofford, of Collinsville, IL, and her brother, David (Emily) Strotheide, of Madisonville, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sid and Laverne Strotheide. Jahn’s family would specifically like to thank Dr. Richard Farrell, MD Midwest Medical Center, Dr. Tauseef Khan, MD Unity Point Health, and the tireless and compassionate care team at Hospice of Dubuque. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to NAMI Illinois  http://namiillinois.org/  or Hospice of Dubuque http://hospiceofdubuque.org/
