Gerald “Jerry” Ricke, 83 of Menominee, IL passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023, at his home. A funeral service will be held at 12 PM, Saturday, August 5, 2023, at the Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena, where friends may call after 10 AM until the time of service. The burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Galena. He was born February 10, 1940, in Menominee the son of Joseph and Theresa (Hasken) Ricke. Jerry married Vicki Ann Miller on November 16, 1963, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Galena and she preceded him in death on August 27, 2021.  He worked as a guide for the Wild Boar Ranch. Jerry retired from Flexsteel after thirty years of service. Together he and Vicki started their own craft business Calico Rainbow doing craft shows throughout the tri-state area. He enjoyed traveling, bowling, woodworking, and playing cards.  Jerry is survived by a son, Terry (Janice) Ricke, a granddaughter, Natalie Ricke, a sister and brother-in-law, Marlene (Robert) Wallenhorst, and a niece, Michelle Wallenhorst. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, and his in-laws, Joseph and Sybella (Smith) Miller. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Loetscher, Jake Belken, Tom and Cathy Nelson, and the staff of Hospice of Dubuque, especially Chris and Ryan, and Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque, IA.
