Dolores J. “Jean” Edge, 88 of Shullsburg, WI passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at her home. Funeral service will be 11 AM, March 23, 2019 at Centenary United Methodist Church, Shullsburg and where friends may call after 9 AM until time of the service. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Shullsburg. The Furlong Funeral Home, Shullsburg is assisting the family. She was born April 14, 1930 on the family farm south of New Diggings, WI the daughter of John and Jennie (Hall) Edge. Dolores attended Race Track School and New Diggings High School. She spent her entire life in the New Diggings and Shullsburg areas. Dolores worked at Eaton Corporation, Warren, IL from 1977 to 1991. She also did housework for people in the Shullsburg area before and after retirement. Dolores enjoyed doing things for people. She loved to babysit her nieces and nephews, crochet doilies and afghans. Dolores spent her life caring for others. She is survived by her many nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews as well as cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, Dorothy Edge, Audrey Hancock, Velda Bills and Eileen Laird, two brothers, Lyle and William Edge, two nephews, Jack and Edward Laird and Ron Hancock.
