Dianne M. Burlison

Dianne Marie Burlison, 82, of Galena, IL, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Midwest Senior Care Center, Galena. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at the Furlong Funeral Chapel in Galena, where friends may call from 9:30 until the time of the service. Burial will be at the Scales Mound Township Cemetery, Scales Mound, IL. She was born September 16, 1943, in Hazel Green, WI, the daughter of E. Melvin and Marie M. (Distler) Spensley. She was married to Robert Wickler, and together they had two children, Tim and Terry. On September 29, 2008, she married Vernon R. Burlison at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. Dianne worked for John Deere and US Bank in Galena until her retirement. She loved antiquing. Dianne was a member of Galena Elks Lodge #882. She is survived by her son, Tim (Jackie) Wickler, her stepchildren, Larry Burlison, Sheri (Phil) Speth, Beth (Mark) Molesworth, Donna (Duane) Williams, Carol (Brian) Williams, and Mike (Ellen Kruser) Burlison, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and step-grandchildren. Dianne was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Terry, and two brothers, Gerald and Curtis Spensley.
