Anne M. Mosher, 67 of Rockford, IL passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque. Funeral service will be 4 PM, Saturday, May 12, 2018, at the Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena, IL where friends may call after 2 PM until time of service. Cremation rites will follow the service. Burial will be held at a later date. She was born January 3, 1951, in Evanston, IL the daughter of Thomas Sr. and Beryl (Klein) Mosher. Anne earned her Bachelor’s Degree at Northern Illinois University and became a speech and language pathologist and eventually taught elementary school. Her greatest passions were her children, grandchildren, gardening, reading, helping others and her faith. She is survived by her two daughters Kerry (Sonny) Shelke, of Galena and Brianna (Matt Sauer) Doyle, Milwaukee, WI, her grandchildren Liam and Finnegan Shelke and Molly Sauer. Her four siblings, Rich (Collette) Mosher, of Gurnee, IL, Mary (Tom) McGinlay, of Burke, VA, John Mosher, of Northfield, IL and Joe (Pamela) Mosher, of Ft. Worth, TX, a sister in-law, Joan Proell of Wauconda, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister in infancy Cecelia Mosher, and her brother Tom Mosher Jr. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Galena EMT’s and ambulance staff, the entire Mercy Nursing Staff on the cardiovascular unit and Dr. Schultz for their warmth, kindness, and compassion for our mom and family. Memorial donations to JDRF, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or to the family at Illinois Bank and Trust.
