Russell “Rusty” Delos White, 58, of Cuba City, WI, formerly of Galena, IL passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023, at Southwest Health Center, Platteville. A private ceremony with be held for the family at Noon, Saturday, June 10, 2023. Followed by a celebration of life open to friends beginning at 1 PM at 404 South Street, Galena, (Robbie White’s Garage…where Rusty hung out a lot working on his truck and drinking Pabst Blue Ribbon). The Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena is assisting the family. He was born in Galena on Sept. 23, 1964, the son of Robert and Sandra (Ortscheid) White. Rusty was passionate about working on classic cars, swap meets, car shows, and NASCAR.  His favorite trip to a truck show in Syracuse, NY was with his dad.  He was an avid LA Rams and Cubs fan.  He was a very humble, caring, and helpful man.  Family meant everything to him.  He stepped up to help his nephew, Tylor, and his sister, Jenn. Rusty is survived by his sister, Jennifer (Whitey) Weinschenk of Dubuque, IA, several aunts, and uncles: many cousins, and a great friend, Greg “Doc” Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents, his paternal grandparents, Russell (Mildred) White, maternal grandparents, Delos (Pearl) Ortscheid, and a nephew, Tylor White-Richardson. The family would like to thank Mercy One, Southwest Health, and UW Madison for the treatment and care over the last year.
