Roxanne R. Krohmer, 55 of Galena, IL passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque, IA. Funeral service will be 11:30 AM, Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena, Friends may gather after 9:30 AM at the funeral chapel until time of service. Burial will be at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded. She was born September 1, 1961 in Dubuque the daughter of Robert and Jennifer (Dunston) Benson. Roxanne graduated from Galena High School. She was united in marriage to Gary Krohmer on June 7, 1996 in Galena and he survives. Roxanne worked as a clerk for Walsh’s True Value, State Farm Insurance and most recently Murphy’s all in Galena. She enjoyed reading, word searches and was a huge fan of NASCAR especially Dale Earnhardt Jr. Roxanne is survived by her husband, Gary, three step-children, Melissa (Greg) Reynolds, Theresa (Scott) Greene and Justin Krohmer, one brother, Eugene Benson and a sister, Ada (Kim) Melancon, three sister in-laws, Karen (Arthur) Arand, Nancy (William) Miller and Helen Trost, her best friend, Deniece Wendling Boden and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Robert, a sister in-law, Doris.
