Robert G. Marsh, 89, of Galena, IL passed away on July 27, 2024, at Midwest Medical Senior Community. His loved ones will celebrate his life on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 2 PM at Grace Episcopal Church, Galena. Friends are welcome to gather at the church from 1 PM until the time of the service. He will be laid to rest in the church columbarium. The Furlong Funeral Chapel in Galena is assisting the family.  Bob was born on June 26, 1935, in Detroit, MI, the son of Paul and Mary (Huber) Marsh. He graduated from Tustin High School in California and attended Durham University, CA.  He was united in marriage to Diann Travis on October 16, 1953, in Santa Ana, CA and she preceded him in death on February 18, 2024. Bob worked in the sheet metal industry and was also a school bus driver. He was an enthusiastic train and knife collector. Bob is survived by his children, Elaine (Paul) Rumaker, Randy (Elaine) Marsh, Kevin Paul (Vivian) Marsh, Eric (fiancee’ Andrea) Marsh, Ginger Huff, and Rodney Marsh. He also leaves ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Robin in 1997, and an infant son, Kevin Andrew. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Grace Episcopal Church and his close friends and family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Episcopal Church in memory of Bob.
