Nicholas “Nick” A. Pieper, 31 of Monroe, WI and formerly Galena, IL died Saturday, May 7, 2016 at his home. Funeral service will be held at 7 PM, Friday, May 13, 2016 at the Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena. Friends may call after 4 PM, Friday at the funeral home until time of service. Burial will be held at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded. He was born April 16, 1985 in Galena the son of JoAnn Sertle and the late Gary Pieper. Nick is survived by his mother, JoAnn Wodall of Clearwater, FL, one daughter, Leah Pieper of Shullsburg, WI, his girlfriend, Tory Tullis of Monroe, three brothers, Jason (Nikki) Frank of Galena, Trerail Woodall of Clearwater and Christopher Pieper of Freeport, IL, two sisters, Natalie Woodall of Clearwater and Tiffany Pieper of Freeport, his maternal grandmother, Corrine Sertle of Galena, three nieces, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, his paternal grandparents, Victor and Wilma Pieper, maternal grandfather, Max Sertle Sr., two uncles, Rod and Chuck Pieper.
