Nancy Kay Meneguin, 79, of Galena, IL passed away peacefully Friday, January 12, 2018 at Galena Stauss Senior Care Community. Funeral service will be 11:30 AM, Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena where friends may call after 9 AM until time of service. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery, Galena. She was born August 17, 1938 in Savanna, IL the daughter of Albert and Wilma (Shaw) Green. Nancy graduated from Hanover High School with the class of 1956. She was united in marriage to Robert F. “Wahoo” Meneguin on April 15, 1960 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church and he preceded her in death on December 3, 1996. Nancy worked for Micro-Switch for many years until her retirement. She had an entertaining personality and valued simple things in life. Her smile and her love to make others smile will be forever cherished. She is survived by her four children, Mark Meneguin, Dawn (Greg) Fleege, Scot Meneguin and Paul (Roxy) Meneguin, seven grandchildren, Cory (Jenna), Alicia, Emily and Charly Fleege, Chasity, Scotty and Taylor Meneguin, five great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Furlong, Derrick Reagan, Ellie Fleege, Alexa Healey and Liam Kibler, two sisters, Sandy Thoeni and Mary (Wayne) Turner, a brother in-law, David Streight and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, Joyce Hahn and Patsy Streight, two brothers, Robert and William Green, two brothers in-law, Maurice Hahn and Dave Thoeni.
