Lois J. Kozloski, 94 of Galena and formerly Montgomery, IL passed away Thursday, May 5, 2022, at Galena Stauss Senior Care Community. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no public services. Cremation rites will be accorded. The Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena is assisting the family. She was born October 7, 1927, in Joliet, IL the daughter of Charles and Lillian (Maciokas) Schreiner. Lois spent most of her life in Montgomery. She was united in marriage to Raymond Kozloski in May of 1948 in Joliet. He preceded her in death on January 11, 2001. Lois was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed traveling the world with her husband, reading, cooking, and sewing. Lois is survived by two sons, James and Charles Kozloski, a daughter, Lisa (Gary) Binder all of Galena, and five grandchildren, Megan (Steve) Stemmet and Maren (Russ Kilgore) King both of Yorkville, IL, Matthew Kozloski of Fort Myers, FL, Robert Giese of Wheaton IL, and Andrew (Emily) Giese of Ferndale, WA, and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two sons, John in infancy, and William. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and staff at Midwest Medical Center, Galena Stauss Senior Care Community, Prairie Ridge, and Hospice of Dubuque.
