Judith “Judy” White, 69 of Galena, IL passed away at her home on October 3, 2023. A celebration of life will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, October 15, 2023, at the Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena where friends may gather after Noon until the time of service. The burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Galena. Cremation rites have been accorded. She was born January 13, 1954, in Galena, the daughter of Glenn and Edith (Manz) Shuey. Judy graduated from Galena High School. She was united in marriage to Terry White on April 22, 1972, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Galena and he preceded her in death on August 1, 2019. Judy worked as a homemaker with many talents: baking and decorating cakes, babysitting, seamstress, and creating many costumes for Galena School Plays and Galena Public Theater. She loved Christmas and Diet Coke. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Her three sons survive her: Robbie (Diane), Cory (Sherry), and Jeremy (Teresa); twelve grandchildren, Amber (Julian) White-Volkening, Devon (Krysta Schilling) Foley, Katie White, Justin White, Jamie White, Nathaniel White, Hailie White, Ella White, Krystal Cantu-Luis, Mike Brodrecht, Kirk Brodrecht, and Nate Brodrecht; 1 great-grandchild, Nora Foley; her siblings: David (Sharon) Shuey, Bill (Pat) Shuey, Mary Jean Mullen, Diane (Marty) Rosenthal, Susan (Greg) Pfaff, and Martha (Dan) Dittmar. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, infant brother, Richard Shuey; two sisters, Ruthie and Karen Shuey, four brothers-in-law, Tom White; Jerry White, Wayne Van Gordon; and Drew Mullen; sister-in-law, Sandra White; three nephews, Tyler White-Richardson, Rusty and Brian White.
