I work at Hartig Drug Corporate office in Dubuque and got to be friends with Janet over the phone when she would call in each month to pay her bill. I loved talking to her. She was so sweet, kind and funny. When she called me early November and told me she was sick, I couldn’t believe it and was truly devastated for her. I have been texting some messages to her to try to lift her spirits for the past two months, including one that I sent on Sunday 1/25 without knowing she had passed away. I was shocked. I am so sorry and wanted to let her children, grandchildren, sister, and other family members know that I am thinking of and praying for you all. May my sweet friend Janet Rest in Heaven. She is missed and will be forever.
