Donna Jeanne “DJ” (Molitor) Gabric, 52, of Crystal Lake, IL and formerly Galena, IL passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago. A gathering will be held from 3 to 5 PM, Thursday, April 14, 2016 at the Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena. A reception will follow beginning at 5:30 PM at the DeSoto House Hotel, Galena where family and friends are invited to share in a celebration of DJ’s life. Cremation rites have been accorded. DJ was born on December 5, 1963 in Galena, the daughter of George and Donna Jeanne (Davis) Molitor. She graduated from Galena High School with the Class of 1982. She was united in marriage to Jonathon Gabric on June 14, 1997 in Galena. DJ had a flair for gardening, decorating, and crafts. Her greatest loves were her family and playing softball. She devoted her life to her children and never missed their sporting events. She is survived by her husband, Jon; two daughters, Lindsay (Jason) and Kayla (Nathan); her son, Buddy; a grandson, Grayson; her dog, Eli; five brothers, Gerald (Sandra), of Winnebago, IL, Kenneth, of Verona, WI, Michael (Sheila), of Bolivar, MO, Tim (Vicky), of Galena, and Tony (Peggy) of Dubuque; many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Donald.
