Blake T. Temperly

Blake T. Temperly, 44, passed away on November 16, 2025. A private burial will be held at a later date. The Furlong Funeral Chapel in Galena, IL, is assisting the family. He was born on July 17, 1981, at Galena Stauss Hospital, the son of Gary and Kay (Reitz) Temperly. Blake attended Galena schools. He enjoyed cooking and earned his associate’s degree from Scottsdale Culinary Institute. Blake worked at various restaurants in Galena and Peoria, IL. He was an avid New York Mets and Las Vegas Raiders fan. Blake is survived by his mother, Kay (Richard Miller), two brothers, Brian (Rosa) of Seattle, WA, and Brett (Jessica) of Galena, and two nephews, Tyler and Travis; one aunt, Lynn (Lee) Foecking of Highland Beach, FL; and two uncles, Ron “Bomber” (Kay) Temperly of Hanover, IL, and Eric Einsweiler of Galena. He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, and his aunts and uncles. Online condolences may be left for the family at  www.furlongfuneralchapel.com
