Kathy R. Greene

Kathy Regina Greene, 78, of Marshfield, MO, and formerly of Galena, IL, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, in Marshfield. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the Furlong Funeral Chapel in Galena, where friends may call after 10 AM until the start of the service. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Galena. She was born on September 9, 1946, in Dubuque, IA, the daughter of Francis and Delores (Rohloff) O’Hare. Kathy graduated from Senior High School in Dubuque. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Greene on June 20, 1964, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Galena, and he preceded her in death on February 21, 2008. Kathy enjoyed camping with her family, traveling to South Padre Island, TX, for the winter, and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved to sew, especially making blankets for her grandchildren. Kathy worked as a para for the Galena school district and volunteered at Midwest Medical Center, Galena. She is survived by her two sons, Scott (Theresa) and Kenny (Cathy) Greene; four grandchildren, Melissa (James) Bryan, Chad (Michelle) Greene, Britany Greene, and Matthew (Elizabeth) Greene; eleven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Francis O’Hare. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a grandson, Timothy Greene.
