Paul G. Ericksen

Paul G. Ericksen entered this world on September 11, 1945 in Antioch, Illinois and left us in Galena, Illinois on August 12, 2016. In keeping with his wishes there will be no public services. Cremation rites have been accorded. The Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena is assisting the family. He was the son of Warren and Phyllis (Hughes) Ericksen and brother to Rick, Glen and Wendy Tumminello. In 1966 he married Alice Lempke and in 1968 they had their only child, Jeff.

Although he initially pursued his passion for music and attended VanderCook College of Music, he soon turned his efforts towards special education and received his Masters from DePaul University.

The family called Elmhurst, Illinois home while Paul worked with emotionally disturbed children and supervised a variety of special education programs. He and Alice then moved to Molalla, Oregon where he continued to work in this field until his retirement in 2000.

Paul passed away at home under the care of Hospice of Dubuque, his wife Alice, son Jeff and daughter in law Korynne (Gabay). He was also continuously surrounded by the love of close friends and family.
