Linda S. Ace 73, of Hazel Green, WI passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque. Friends may call from 9 to 10:30 AM, Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena. A graveside service will be held immediately following the visitation at Council Hill Cemetery, rural Scales Mound, IL. She was born December 5, 1943 in Vinegar Hill, Twp. the daughter of Ernest and Evelyn (Hammer) Schaber. Linda was united in marriage to Roger Ace on July 20, 1969 at the Lutheran Church, Elizabeth, IL and he preceded her in death on January 27, 1985. She worked in the Health Care field for forty years until her retirement in 2008. She is survived by her son, Michael (Tara) Ace of Monroe, WI, four grandchildren, Tristin, Justin, Roxane and Chance, her sister Ruth Reddington of Scales Mound, a brother, Richard (Jean) Schaber of Winnebago, IL, loyal companion, Cricket, her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother in-law, John Reddington and a niece, Sandra Reddington-Engvold.
