JoAnn M. Sproule, 79 of Galena, IL passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Dubuque Specialty Care surrounded by her loving family. A private family service will be held at a later date. The Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena is assisting the family. JoAnn was united in marriage to Raymond F. Sproule on February 22, 1957 and he preceded her in death on February 28, 1994. She is survived by her son, Gene (Megan) Sproule of Galena, her grandchildren, Nathan (Michelle) Sproule and Joshua (Danielle) Sproule both of Galena, Terry “T.J.” Sproule and Amanda (Jeremiah) Johnson both of Dubuque, three great grandchildren, Ashton, Alexander and Kennan, a special niece, Valerie Lange of Dubuque. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Terry Sproule, two sisters, Ardella Wienen and Sandy Frair, and a brother, Richard.
