Boyd David Dean, 65 of Galena, IL passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, July 17, 2015. In keeping with his wishes there will be no public visitation and burial of his ashes will be held at a later date. The Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena is assisting the family. He was born May 18, 1950 in Sioux City, IA the son of Douglas F. and Julia C. (Machamer) Dean. He was a talented musician and was a proud USC Trojans fan. Boyd had a beagle named Molly that he loved spending his time with. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, being outdoors, and going on adventures. He was a wonderful father, partner, grandfather, brother and friend. He was loved and will be sadly missed. God rest his soul. We love you and will see you on the other side. He is survived by a daughter, Christy (Jose) Ramos, a grandson, Christian David Ramos, two brothers, Bruce D. and Brian D. Dean, His partner and soul mate, Valerie Adames. He was preceded in death by his parents.
