Amanda E. Deininger

Amanda Elizabeth Deininger, 29 of Galena, IL was called home to be with the Lord March 31, 2018. A celebration of life will be 7 PM, Friday, April 6, 2018 at the Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena and where friends may gather after 4 PM until time of service. Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will be held at a later date. The Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena is assisting the family. Amanda was born in Dubuque, IA September 10, 1988 to Steven and Donna (Schultz) Deininger and raised in Galena, IL with her older brothers Brandon and Mike. Amanda was a faithful employee of the Galena Walmart and brightened the lives of everyone she met, if even for only a moment- she was loved by all for her sweet smile, her friendliness, her wit and her acceptance. She was a devoted and loving aunt to her nephew, Jackson, and a beloved daughter, sister, sister-in-law and friend to the many lives she touched. Amanda loved her dog Molly, camping with her family, was an avid reader, and loved movies but there was nothing in the world she loved more than sharing the kindness in her heart with those she held most dear- she will be sorely and dearly missed. The only comfort to her family in this dark time is that Amanda is reunited with her father, whom she missed so much in life, in heaven and is enfolded in his arms in eternal rest. She is survived by her mother, Donna of Galena, brother Mike of Hanover, IL and brother Brandon of Savanna, IL and his wife, Valerie, and nephew, Jackson, who was the love of Amanda’s life. She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Steven, maternal grandparents Melvin and Elizabeth “Betty” Schultz, and Uncle Jim Vondra. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established at First Community Bank, Galena in memory of Amanda.
